one-month ifs healing circle: “being strong” burden
Theme & Intention
Focus on the internalized narrative of “being strong” as a burden—how it resides in our bodies and minds, shaping behavior and identity.
Explore the roots—cultural, familial, systemic—that gave rise to this burden
Week-by-Week Structure
🔆 Week 1 – Grounding & Exploring Self
Introductions, intention-setting, and safety-building.
Begin with foundational IFS steps: accessing Self, and gently inviting protector parts associated with “being strong.”
🔆 Week 2 – Identifying Protector Parts
Explore how “being strong” functions as a protector: what pain or exile it’s shielding.
Gentle unblending: encourage differentiation between Self and protector parts
🔆 Week 3 – Tracing Origins & Befriending
Lift the lid to discover when and why this part emerged—family stories, cultural narratives, survival dynamics.
Befriend the part with compassion and curiosity, rather than fighting or dismissing it
🔆 Week 4 & 5 – Exploring Unburdening/ Releasing and Reclamation
Invite the part to begin to release this burden
